 | When and what kind of gear do I need for class? All students need a mouthguard, headgear, | |
| handpads and footpads. If you are under 12 you will also need a face mask. It is recommended that students have their own gear by their first (gold belt) test and required by their second (adv. gold) test. Students tend to lose mouthguards - please replace ASAP. It is also a good idea to write the students name on every piece of gear with a permanent marker in case any of it gets left behind in class. |
| How do I order gear / when will it come in? There are catalogs for Century and Asianworld | |
| products with order forms available near the office. Make sure you include size, color, and item # on the forms. Orders can be put in an envelope with payment (orders must be paid in full to be placed) and dropped in the box outside of the office. It is checked regularly. Make checks out to: MVKC, we currently do not accept credit cards. We place orders on Friday mornings and they typically come in the following Wednesday. |
| What size should I get? Headgear: If your head circumference is 20.5" or smaller order the Small, | |
| If it is 21 to 22 " order the Medium, If your head is 22.5" or larger order the Large ( we find most students get the medium). Handpads: Measure across the knuckles. Century's child size is for under 2 7/8", Child/Youth 2 7/8" - 3 1/4", Adult S 3 1/4" - 3 3/8", Adult M 3 3/8" - 3 5/8", Adult L 3 5/8" - 3 3/4", Adult XL 3 3/4" - 3 7/8" . Footpads: Sizes follow shoe sizes the smallest being the 1-2. |

| You will receive the Go Ju fist when you test for Gold belt. The American Ching Sai Do patch is given when you test for Adv. Gold belt. If you did not receive your patches when you tested, please see Sensei. |

| bad manners. Your Instructor is keeping an eye on your progress and our staff is tracking your attendance. When we feel your are ready and have met any requirements your name will be put on the testing list for the next belt test. The testing list is posted outside of the Dojo. |
