Anthony Donkel
Anthony was born on May 13, 1993 in Fort Hood Texas. He comes from a
bicultural family; his mother is from the Republic of Panama and his father from the
US. During his first six years he lived in Panama where he became interested in
Karate and began his studies under the instruction of Shihan Juan De Leon of the
Traditional Karate International Confederation. At the age of 6 he moved to North
Carolina and took a few years off before he found a Dojo where he wanted to
study. In September of 2003 he began training under Sensei Doug Armstrong at
Mt. View Karate Centers. He received his Green Belt in 39 months and received
his Advanced Brown on November 3rd 2006.  Anthony sees Karate as a positive
influence in his life and enjoys studying with his father who is also a member of the
Dojo. He also enjoys assisting Sensei Kearns at the Foothills Dojo kids class.
Anthony sees martial arts in his future, once he earns the rank of Black Belt he
would like to pass his knowledge on to others. After he graduates from high school,
Anthony plans to continues his education by pursuing a college degree in the field
of Engineering
