C.J. McConnell
CJ, a twelve year old firecracker, soaked up his instruction like a sponge. This
boy eats, sleeps, and breathes karate. He was the first to join the dojo amongst
his family members and his love for the arts really shines through in his kata,
sparring, and weapons training; especially his beloved Bo Staff. He placed ninth
overall in a 20 competitor division in the world games in 2004 with his Bo Staff
Kata. Also CJ is now a state champion after winning the State Sparring
Tournament in 2005. Even at his age, his dedication, perseverance, and 'never
say quit' attitude has propelled him to his goal of becoming an American Ching
Sai Do Black Belt.
