Jerry Duncan
Jerry Duncan is one of the oldest attending members of the Mountain View
Karate Dojo. He started taking classes with Sensei Armstrong when he was
6 years old. He's been with MVKC ever since(12 years!). He's won multiple
world titles in breaking and he competed for the team at last years 2006
Super Grand Nationals in Buffalo New York. Jerry is certainly a key member
of the dojo and as he's aged and gotten more mature, Sensei has promoted
him to an instructor at the Brookford center. Jerry pretty much runs the
Brookford center now, with Sensei assisting and teaching some of the adult
classes.
Both Jerry and his mother Tammy are very active in the dojo. Tammy
explained that she was most impressed with karate and MVKC by teaching
Jerry discipline and respect. Jerry originally wanted to take karate because
of his love for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Tammy took Jerry to a
class with Sensei Armstrong and has since become a part of the "MVKC
Family"
